Create a range of hand-painted summer silks, which celebrate summer and colour, as you learn and practice the art of painting freely on fabric.
You will develop designs and patterns using inks and paints which remain colour and light-fast when ironed; you will work on silk and chiffon, either as ready-hemmed scarves or meterage.
The course will include the consideration of scarf designs and layouts, examples being drawn mostly from the tutor's body of work.
You are encouraged to bring a little reference of favourite colours and cloth as a starting point.
