Taking inspiration from flora and fauna themes, develop ways to translate images into highly colourful, richly textured and patterned surfaces, creating a small pictorial textile. Traditional and experimental techniques and rag rug tools will be explored with recycled fabrics and threads. (Please note that Lynne Stein is unable to teach this course as planned and that Debbie Siniska will teach the course in her place.)
Debbie Siniska has worked as a textile artist for over 25 years, as a maker, teacher and author. She works using traditional hand tools and recycled textiles. She is also a feltmaker.
