Angelika and Terry met over 25 years ago amalgamating their skills in art and design with a passion for natural fabrics and a desire to create clothes for women with an ethos for craft rather than mass production. They work closely with clients in our Somerset workshop providing fittings and bespoke outfits if required, but also exhibit at high profile Designer Craft fairs throughout the country and have an increasing international clientele.
Tessa Pearson studied Printed textile design at UCA Farnham and the Royal College of Art, and now works exclusively on paper creating bold abstract prints, mostly monotypes richly textured with elements of collage, hand painting and woodblock printed imagery. Renowned for her exceptional use of colour, recent work has evolved from sketches of textures and rhythms experienced in inspirational gardens and interpreted in her very recognisable style.
The Old School Press has been printing and publishing new texts in limited editions for twenty-five years. They use traditional letterpress printing techniques - metal type and fine papers - and their books are hand-bound to their designs. The aim is always to craft a combination of text, illustration, typeface, papers, and binding that makes a unified whole. Their motto is ‘Worth printing, worth buying, worth reading, worth keeping’.
Decorative hand blown glass depicting abstract patterns and land/seascapes in the form of bowls, vases, stoppered bottles and paperweights. Some pieces are sandblasted to give them a matt effect. There are also blown/fused wall art panels made from the blown pieces.
Tibor's work is strongly influenced by traditional Eastern European hand crafts which he combines with simplicity, a love of colours and a great appreciation for natural leather as a raw material. He's intrigued to find ever more innovative ways to create beautiful art and craft objects and finds the strength, texture and durability of leather lends itself to the classic lines and simple elegance of his designs.
