Zoe Whiteside

Zoe Whiteside studied Ceramics at Staffordshire University achieving a first class honours degree, then two years MA at the Royal College of Art, which was completed in 1992. After establishing a studio with a Crafts Council Grant and teaching ceramics at Liverpool Hope University
and Coventry University, she moved her practice to Gothenburg in Sweden, where she stayed for 
3 years. These days Zoe is working in Shropshire and sells her pieces through her website, Craft Potters Association shows 
and galleries across the United Kingdom.

Describe your approach to teaching

My approach to teaching is very much about working with the individual to help them to express their ideas in clay.

What inspitres your work?

My work is a celebration of the animal often embracing a narrative. Inspiration comes from the natural world, the surreal and historical artefacts.
