Kevin Scully

Kevin trained at Wimbledon School of Art and is an experienced artist and tutor. He is the author of several books on painting and writes regular articles for ‘The Artist’, and ‘Artist & Illustrators’ magazines. He is an elected and active member of the Oxford Art Society.

Describe your approach to teaching
I aim to encourage, support and inspire students by means of demonstrations and examples. I particularly encourage them to develop their own style of painting through experimentation.

What inspires your own work? 
I am inspired by light and atmosphere and everything around me, especially that subject matter which might at first be considered to be mundane and unworthy of consideration.
