Approach to teaching
Learning something new, with all the expectation & discovery that involves, is always an exciting prospect. I like to think that teaching should be an inspiring process and having guided a class to experiment and explore the medium, they all leave with a sense of achievement.

What inspires your work?
I work directly from life, my subject matter being the birds & beasts, flora & fauna from the garden and countryside surrounding my studio in Kent. I regularly acquire all sorts of wildlife in need of TLC, which gives me ample opportunity for drawing etc, before returning them to the wild. Recent “models” have included a baby hedgehog, a West Country tumbler & a jackdaw.
