Annie Slack

Annie is a designer working in local greenwood in Sussex. She sells her work in the United States and the UK.

With a background in silversmithing (BA Hons) from Camberwell College of Art and a Masters from The Cass, London, she has also worked as a furniture and lighting designer.

These experiences laid the foundation for a transition to her true passion of working in wood which has been her focus for the last 5 years.

Her practice is a continual exploration of the familiar form we know to be the spoon. An object rooted in utility and of daily ritual that represents something so positive.

What I concern myself with is refining and continually assessing the forms and how people will interact with them. I aim to achieve balance and craftsmanship, slowly and with full focus.
