Anne Tomlin

Anne has a degree in Textiles and trained at West Surrey College of Art (UCA, Farnham), then studied millinery at The London College of Fashion. She co-founded the Bailey Tomlin label in 1989 designing and making hats for many stores including Saks 5th Ave, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Liberty. Now working under her own name she makes more intricate pieces for private clients.
I like to teach in a friendly informal way and feel strongly the importance of passing on skills, both traditional and self-taught.

I am inspired by the immaculate detail of nature and have a particular interest in bumble bees and wild flowers both for their beauty and their conservation. I was the Tomlin part of Bailey Tomlin. I am now a specialist millinery flower maker, inspired by the immaculate detail of nature with a special interest in bees and wild flowers.
