About this course

Learn to handle brushes, use colour and study form and composition as you paint in watercolour.

Course Description

An inspiring day to launch your exploration into watercolour painting. The tutor will begin this one-day course with a talk on the basic principles of observation and use of colour. Drawing and painting from still life, you will discover the exciting versatility of watercolour. You will explore form, create washes and discover brush handling. During the afternoon, you will complete your own watercolour painting.

You will also look at how different artists interpret still life through their use of colour, composition and technique.
