An engaging three day course that covers the fundamentals of observational drawing in a creative and engaging way. You will also have the opporuntiy to apply the skills you have learnt during a museum visit where you can engage in quick drawings and more detailed studies.
Day 1, 1 June 2024: FORM, COMPOSITION & PERCEPTION – the basics of drawing in 3Dimensions. Working with ways of seeing, optical illusion and abstraction – to sharpen observation for drawing.
Day 2, 8 June 2024: TONAL VALUE & STILL LIFE – Shadow and Light (tonal values). Creative still life drawing. Old master, modern and theatrically inspired still life set ups.
Day 3, 15 June 2024: MUSEUM VISIT – engaging in quick observational drawing and more detailed studies. Applying all the skills acquired in prior sessions.
This course takes place in London.
