About this course

This two-day course introduces students to the introductory skills needed to begin working with InDesign. Strong emphasis is placed on best practices, and approaches are derived from experience and working solutions. This course is aimed at design students and professionals, and examples and course materials will relate to interior design practice, but could be applied to other disciplines.

Step-by-step progress is made under the close supervision of our tutors. You will learn how to create page design and layout for professional presentations and documents.

Please note: This course runs over two consecutive Saturdays.

Course Description

This two-day course will provide an introduction to the InDesign computer programme. You will learn the skills you need to create designs and layouts for professional presentations and documents. Strong emphasis is placed on best practices, and approaches are derived from experience and working solutions. This course is aimed at design students and professionals, and examples and course materials will relate to interior design practice, but could be applied to other disciplines.

Course Outcomes:

This course is open to applicants with existing professional skills of visualisation, and with confident computer skills. This course is suited to professionals and to students of design. All KLC software courses are taught on PC computers.

9.30am arrival on day 1. Teaching hours 10.00am - 4pm. This course runs over two consecutive Saturdays. Breakfast refreshments and a delicious light lunch will be provided on the first day (ie the first Saturday). While a vegetarian option is made available, we are unable to cater to specific food intolerances or food allergies.
