Richard Jordan

Richard Jordan is a specialist in historic roofing who is based in Derbyshire and provides training and advice across the United Kingdom.  An experienced roof slater and tiler, his interest and passion for our built heritage developed whilst working with his father, who was his mentor. Richard won a prestigious William Morris Craft Fellowship from the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) in 1999, making him the first roof slater and tiler to do so.

He established Jordan Heritage Roofing in 2009 and works across the United Kingdom sourcing traditional roofing materials of the highest quality, selected for the building to ensure regional and historical accuracy.  Richard also advises on appropriate roofing materials when the original source is no longer available, providing advice on the best alternatives.
