Richard Findley

Richard Findley is a registered professional turner based in Leicestershire. It is the wide variety of his work that he enjoys.

Richard is a popular demonstrator, having demonstrated around the UK, Ireland and USA. He writes a monthly article in Woodturning Magazine and has taught at the Dale Nish School of Woodturning in Utah.

Describe your approach to teaching
My approach to teaching is very hands-on. I will demonstrate a technique or process and then get students to replicate it while observing and offering advice and encouragement.

What inspires your own work
My work is all commission based and I am as comfortable turning a batch of staircase spindles as I am a batch of salad bowls.
