Rebecca Horsfall

Rebecca is a best-selling novelist who has also worked for many years as a script writer and editor in the West End theatre. She has been teaching fiction writing for the past decade and has worked as an editor and coach with more than a hundred different novelists.

Describe your approach to teaching:
For me, teaching is a balance between imparting skills and building confidence. Good technique is important but if writing's not fun it's not going to work.

What inspires your own work?
In my own writing I look for what excites me, moves me, ignites my passion. I'm looking for what's beautiful in life. I'm fascinated by the complexity of human nature.
