My approach is relaxed and informative. I like to engage the student as much as possible and break down the technical jargon that is often associated with photography so that the student can concentrate on the aesthetic.

My own work is inspired by the great landscape photographs of Ansel Adams and Carleton Watkins. I see garden photography as the smaller landscape and apply a similar approach to my work.
