Jason Ingram is an award winning garden photographer who travels
widely photographing gardens, plants and people for magazines,
books and advertising. He also works with top international garden
designers on private projects and has provided photography for
numerous best selling gardening books. Jason won the Garden Media
Guild Photographer of the Year Award in 2013, 2014 and Features
Photographer of the Year in 2016. Jason regularly teaches Garden
Photography courses and lectures about his work and he is a member
of The Garden Photographers Association and the Association of
Photographers.
My approach is relaxed and informative. I like to engage the
student as much as possible and break down the technical jargon
that is often associated with photography so that the student can
concentrate on the aesthetic.
My own work is inspired by the great landscape photographs of
Ansel Adams and Carleton Watkins. I see garden photography as the
smaller landscape and apply a similar approach to my work.
