Describe your approach to teaching.
My approach to teaching is to demonstrate the wide range of possibilities available to us all through the use of alternative materials, both organic and manmade. I actively encourage the individual to take risks, to explore and to experiment. To find alternative, liberating, exciting methods.

What inspires your own work?
Colour is always emotive and is one of the most important elements of my work. In addition to colour I'm permanently engaged in conversation between directional and static shapes and marks. I have a family of artists that I draw inspiration from: Cy Twombly, Christopher Wool, Jo Davenport and Emilio Vedova.
