Alison Baxter

Head of School of Arts

Alison Baxter gained a BA in jewellery at Middlesex University in jewellery and an MA in textiles at UCA Farnham. She is Programme tutor for the FDAD and Head of School at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation.

She has exhibited her jewellery and textiles internationally and has work in public and private collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and Galerie Ra, Amsterdam. Alison has taught short courses at the College for many years and previously taught in several Art Schools across a broad range of subjects and courses.

Alison's own work is developed through exploring materiality alongside ideas imbedded in a sense of place and person.
