8 reasons to camp at Chilli Fiesta 2018

This year's Chilli Fiesta 2018 is just around the corner, 10-12 August, and it's set to be the hottest event of the year, packed with music, food and dancing. If you want to make the most of it, consider camping over the weekend. Here are 8 reasons why you should camp at Chilli Fiesta 2018.

1: It’s your only chance to camp in the parkland

The grounds of West Dean College and Gardens are beautiful, there's no denying that, and the Chilli Fiesta is your one chance each year to enjoy the parkland from sunrise to sunset, and even after dark!

2: You won’t miss a thing

By camping for the whole weekend, you'll have time to sample the many food stalls, watch a film or two in the outdoor cinema, browse the gift and souvenir stalls, and of course you'll be able to dance the night away and enjoy the full festival experience.

There will also be acoustic campsite entertainment, exclusively for those camping over the weekend! For more programme details click here.

3: Participate in our ‘best dressed tent’ competition

If you decide to camp, you'll have the chance to unleash your creative side, and participate in our best dressed tent competition to win a chilli prize. More details will be revealed soon.

You can go wild with chilli themed decorations, and compete with family, friends, and other campers. The more people that participate, the more vibrant the camping zones will be!

4: There’s great facilities on-site

With on-site facilities such as showers, flushing toilets, and even a small shop, you'll have access to everything you could possibly need whilst camping. The camping crew will also be on hand to help you with anything else you might need.

5: You don’t have to camp for the whole weekend

If you can't camp for three nights, don't panic! You can always just camp on Saturday night. So if you can only make the weekend, or just don't fancy three nights in a tent, you can still enjoy the festival experience.

6: Customize your camping experience

Whether you're coming with friends or family, you can enjoy the camping experience that's right for you. All you need to do is pick which camping zone best suits you.

There are three different zones:

Jalapeno - most popular general camping area, close to the event arena helping to enhance the festival atmosphere of the weekend.

Pimento - quiet camping area away from the main arena ideal for a good night's sleep.

Bell - family friendly close to the toilets and showers, ideal for the earlier to bed but up bright and early.

So whether you're hoping for a family friendly camping retreat, or a fun festival weekend, customize your camping experience and pick your zone. Find out more from our camping FAQs.

7: You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast, lunch or dinner

With so many different food stalls, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to have for each meal.

There'll be spicy chilli-themed food stalls for the chilli-enthusiasts, but there'll also be plenty for those who aren't too keen on hot and spicy food options, including Thai, seafood, crepes and more.

8: Avoid the ticket queues and traffic each morning

As the UK's biggest chilli event, the Chilli Fiesta is always popular, and queues can build up for the event each morning.

By camping, you'll skip the queues, avoid the traffic, and have time to enjoy a delicious breakfast or relaxing morning walk, all before the daily festivities have begun.

Book your camping tickets online now to save 20% - 3 day adult camping tickets start at £92 per person, including all 3 days at the event.
