After the success of last year's Arts and Craft Festival, West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is delighted to announce the 2018 Festival will run from 1-3 June.
The College will open its gates to over 5,000 visitors and 200 artists, printmakers, craftspeople and writers for the UK's definitive arts and craft festival. As well as giving the opportunity to buy exquisite hand-made crafts, the festival offers exciting live demonstrations and performances, and hands-on workshops and tours, including of the award-winning Gardens. Visitors can discover the secrets of West Dean House with its intriguing arts heritage, and view exciting new art installations by students inspired by the Collection and Archive.
The three-day festival takes place at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, near Chichester West Sussex. It is a site that has inspired generations of artists, makers, designers and writers through the legacy of artist and Surrealist patron Edward James who founded the College.

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation near Chichester in West
Sussex, is internationally recognised for arts and conservation
education. Edward James, who founded the College, was a poet,
artist and patron of the Surrealist Movement.
During his lifetime he sponsored emerging artists and writers
including John Betjeman, Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte. Today the
College continues this work by supporting people to realise their
creative ambitions and potential.
