Mark Cass

My biggest pleasure is making things; showing others how to do it too runs it a close second. I've been woodworking for most of my life and am lucky to have experienced nearly every aspect of this rewarding craft, from furniture restoration to boat repair via joinery and flooring.

My certified teaching began 8 years ago and I'm looking forward to even more. As well as West Dean, I'm currently teaching at my local technical college, and I relish the challenges that teaching often throws up. I'm proud to say that I always get my students through the course, no matter what.

Most of my other time is spent designing and making fitted furniture from my workshop in Hove, but I still manage to find time to edit The Woodworker magazine as it heads towards its 120th year of publication. Happy days!
