About this course

Make a 20cm square traditional stained glass panel in a simple abstract design as you learn to cut and assemble with lead and solder.

Course Description

The dynamic and jewel-like qualities of coloured glass and light are the most alluring features of stained glass. This one-day course allows you to experience making a 20cm square traditional stained glass panel to take home. This is a practical course and you will learn the basic construction process of cutting glass, putting a panel together with lead, soldering, cementing and finishing.

A choice of simple, non-representational designs, with accompanying glass packs, is provided by the tutor, as well as all the materials needed to create your stained glass piece. Due to time constraints, you will not be able to design your own patterns.

If you are pregnant, you should consult your GP before enrolling on this course, as working with lead and solder can be harmful to the developing baby.
