Yoko Moon

Yoko studied fine art at Musashino Art University in Tokyo. After graduated, she worked as a textile designer in Tokyo for six years and moved to UK. She sold her many paintings at local exhibitions and arts and craft centre in Gloucester. SAA member, Awarded highly commended in SAA Artist of the year competition 2011.

Describe your approach to teaching:
In Japan, origami is taught by mother to child or friend to friend casually so I like to teach origami in relaxed homely atmosphere and bring out joy and sense of achievement.

What inspires my own work?
I like to capture a moment. I like something tells a story. I tend to attracted textures of old rustic objects.
