Tim Patrick
Tim Patrick (b.1988) is an artist based in London and the South West. Having initially trained in traditional portrait painting in Florence, Italy, Tim subsequently studied in Brighton and the Royal Drawing School in London. His work was recently exhibited in the 2018 Threadneedle Prize and various exhibitions in London.
Recently, Tim Patrick was awarded a second Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Grant. It’s an organisation that supports emerging figurative artists, with some great awardees in the past, including Jenny Saville, Chantal Joffe and Ishbel Myerscough.
I enjoy working individually with each student, responding to their needs and providing an open, though focused approach, ambitious for their progress and work.
I love painting directly from observation, working in the light of the environment and allowing the subject to be discovered as I paint.
