Sophie Simone Cortina, a jewellery designer from Mexico City, works with silver, gold, antique fabrics, precious stones and resin, collecting ideas and materials from her travels around the world.

I like to let the students explore their own style and follow their inspiration after I have thoroughly covered the basic techniques.
What inspires your own work?
My work is inspired by nature, particularly Mexico's rich and colourful landscape. Lately my inspiration has come the endless variety of cactus of Mexico.
