Describe your approach to teaching:
My approach is to simultaneously challenge and support, enabling students to fulfil their writing potential by encouraging them to push themselves to their imaginative limits to achieve a distinctive voice.

What inspires your own work?
My poems often celebrate struggles for survival - in both human society and the natural world - and how these can be overcome. Life, love, loss, family roots and place, all provide inspiration.
