Pete is a professional artist working from his studio and
gallery 'Atelier' in Castle Road Southsea. This year he won the
Osanna Prize and The Bezalel Prize, for drawing, at The Chaiya
Awards in London and had a major solo exhibition of his large
charcoal drawings in Oxford.
Describe your approach to teaching:
He teaches drawing and sculpture as a visiting lecture and private
tutor. You can see his commissioned public artwork across the UK
and works on paper and canvas in private collections around the
world.
What inspires your own work?
Pete's work uses traditional skills and stories to comment on
contemporary issues. His large charcoal drawings bring the
religious, classical and mythological themes into our everyday
lives.
