Oliver Jones

Oliver works from his Birmingham studios using chalk pastel as a medium to interrogate and question society, particularly how it is affected by media and industry. His most recent work is principally concerned with flesh and how it is interpreted and engaged in the day to day. Oliver exhibits his work on both national and international platforms including at his gallery in Los Angeles.

Describe your approach to teaching:

Like my practice, my teaching approach is based upon analysis, questioning predetermined notions of what it is we think we see and re-learning what is actually presented to us.
