Describe your approach to teaching:

I have a passion for plants and an equal passion to share with students my painting knowledge. I encourage students to work to their strengths whether beginner or experienced artist.

What inspires your own work?

Gardens and the environment naturally provide a wealth of material to inspire. Botanical motifs abound and are held deep within our psyche. I find inspiration almost everywhere but I am particularly drawn to vegetables, together with historical documents and references which link us to the continuum of human endeavour
