Describe your approach to teaching.
I have a playful approach to teaching with the emphasis on exploration and discovery through working in an abstract way with mixed media materials. I encourage students to embrace the accidental or unpredictable surprises that come with experimentation and allow work to develop organically.

What inspires your own work?
Colour and music are important elements in my work. I find a lyrical energy and exuberance in colour and the layering of colour shade and pattern resonates with the way sound, tone and texture are layered to create music.  Both are constant sources of inspiration that I see reflected in the gestures, shapes and marks of my work.
