Describe your approach to teaching:

I believe Creative Writing requires a creative approach. I draw on over twenty years' experience of teaching, lecturing, and mentoring, and love to see writers develop as people and artists.

What inspires your work?

I take inspiration from my very chequered life - from careleaver who ended up on the streets to award winning author and PhD. Writing has been the one lifelong constant.
