Jessica Turrell is a well-established jeweller with over 25
years teaching experience. Her focus is on the use of vitreous
enamel using non-traditional techniques in combination with metal
texturing. Jessica studied at Central Saint Martins and has an MA
in multi-disciplinary printmaking from UWE, Bristol. She exhibits
nationally and internationally.
My approach to teaching is to build students' technical skills and
confidence with enamel so that they are able to develop a personal
visual language through play, experimentation and discovery.
In my own work I try to discover and explore the unique
characteristics of my materials. It is important to me that my
pieces reward the wearers close attention with an intricate,
detailed, and tactile surface.
