Heather Gray-Newton

Heather paints expressive figurative and landscape work in oils and mixed media. The artist holds a First Class Hons Degree in 3/D Design from Buckinghamshire University, and an MA in Visual Arts (University of Sussex - West Dean College of Arts and Conservation). Heather has years of teaching experience specialising in both adult and school education, with drawing, painting and mixed media. Heather is a member of the well-respected contemporary art group ARTEL, her work has been accepted in the National Open Art Competition and won the Stride Open in 2010. Describe your approach to teaching:

"I teach through demonstrations giving art history contexts where appropriate. I provide feedback, encouraging and challenging students to develop their own visual language. I aim to inspire creative thinking."
