Geoff Bowers

Geoff has over thirty years of teaching experience. A maker and repairer of violins, violas and celli, Geoff studied at Newark School of Violin Making and has been a tutor at West Dean College for approaching twenty years.

Describe your approach to teaching:

Teaching is on a one to one basis, catering for the individual needs of my students. Group demonstrations are provided where appropriate. In discussion with each student, an action plan with agreed targets will be formed.

What inspires your own work?

My main inspiration to make musical instruments came from meeting up with musicians in the North West of Ireland.
