Ella McIntosh

Ella McIntosh, a pewtersmith based in Manchester, trained at Buckinghamshire University before establishing her practice and award winning workshop programme in 2012.

Ella's contemporary pewter home and table ware has received four awards from The Worshipful Company of Pewterers, is exhibited nationwide and she has accomplished numerous bespoke commissions.  

Describe your approach to teaching. 

My approach is driven from my absolute enthusiasm and passion for pewtersmithing. Guiding you from design to realising your final piece by sharing the traditional skills of my craft.

What inspires your own work? 

My contemporary pewter home and table ware is inspired by my surrounding landscape; old buildings next to new developments, northern mill town chimneys and stripping back embellishment to celebrate pewter.
