Chris Cudlip

Chris Cudlip regularly teaches figurative sculpture at Wimbledon College of Art, The University of the Arts London. His practice involves woodcarving, studio ceramics, brick installations, classical figurative sculpture, environmental art and interdisciplinary projects. His work can be seen in parks, housing developments, libraries, schools, youth centres, universities and hospitals.

My interpretations of the human form, larger mammals and micro plankton have inspired much of my practice. Using clay, wood and found plastics are also fundamental in my work.

Describe your approach to teaching:
I use an iterative approach showing how to transfer measurements from life to clay and the technique of relief sculpture with close attention to the muscular skeletal system of humans.
