Describe your approach to teaching.

Each member of the group will interpret the theme and techniques individually and gain confidence in their abilities. We use my books and the accessible techniques from them to stitch, collage, print and make unique and meaningful pieces.

What inspires your own work?

I make tapestry-like mixed media collages and objects using vintage and reclaimed textiles. I am motivated by ‘a more emotional and creative drive to save, incorporate and honour these fragile survivors of time past’ (author Deena Beverley).
