Alistair McCallum

Alistair trained at Loughbrough College of Art and the Royal College of Art graduating in 1978. He has worked as a practising silver smith and part time lecturer. He exhibits nationally and internationally and his work is represented in several public and private collections. He is a freeman of the worshipfull Company of Goldsmith's.


Alistair has run many Mokume Gane workshops, in these he hopes to give an insight into the technique that is inclusive and relevant to the students' needs and experience. Materials, there qualities, and how they can be manipulated alongside an understanding of pattern form and function inspire Alistair's work.
