Mexican Week
21 to 25 October 2018

Revel in the rich colours, shapes and vibrant patterns of Mexico. Alongside tutors who either live in Mexico or whose work is influenced by the country, you will discover a culture rich in tradition and creativity. You are encouraged to engage with those on other courses and visit different course studios.

The week is inspired by College founder, Edward James' love of Mexico. During the 1960s he created surreal concrete sculptures high in the jungle at Las Pozas, a natural beauty spot. You will have the chance to find out more on a talk about Edward James, as well as attend talks by tutors on their current practice.

If you can demonstrate a commitment to your creative development but are able to afford to study you may be eligible for our Mexican Week Bursary to attend Designing without cutting - making garments with Mexican panache, 21-25 October with Carmen Rion. Find out more
