Classical guitar weekend with Arne Brattland

For advanced level classical guitarists (grade 6-8) who wish to experience the enjoyment of playing in an ensemble, develop their technique and learn by performing their solo music in repertoire classes. Some aspects of the weekend's study will be shared with the tutor and students on the concurrent intermediate course.


Arne Brattland

Arne Brattland was educated at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo. He later studied in London for several years and had a successful Wigmore Hall debut in 1988. Arne has toured many countries around the globe and has many recordings to his credit. Several prominent Norwegian composers have written works for him and he has become widely known for his arrangements and performances of music by Edvard Grieg. Arne has also been involved with ensemble and chamber music for a long time, and is a member of the Arctic Guitar Trio who performed at West Dean Classical Guitar Festival in 2015. He has an interest in world music, delivering workshops to schools in the south east. Arne and his family now live in England.
