Bookbinding and paper marbling

£276Learn essential bookbinding skills such as folding, tearing and cutting paper as you produce several book structures. The structures are all based on the concertina format, which is ideal for displaying your work and have the potential to become artists’ books. This approach will free up your creative potential and develop understanding of the materials and processes to make further books.
Tracey Bush has made artists’ books for the past two decades and is an experienced tutor with lots of creative skills and techniques to share.
Arrival Day - this is the first date listed above
Courses start early evening. Residential students to arrive from 4pm, non-residential students to arrive by 6.45pm.
6.45pm: Welcome, followed by dinner (included).
8 - 9pm: First teaching session, attendance is essential.
Daily timetable
Classes 9.15 - 5pm, lunch is included.
From 6.30pm: Dinner (included for residential students).
Evening working - students may have access to workshops, but only with their tutor's permission and provided any health and safety guidelines are observed.
Last day
Classes 9.15am - 3pm, lunch is included.
Residential students are to vacate their rooms by 10am please.

Tracey Bush trained as an illustrator, and successfully freelanced for many years. She has produced a series of books, which have been acquired by the Yale Centre for British Art, Tate Britain and the Marvin Sackner Collection of Concrete Poetry. In 2014 Tracey was commissioned to create the large scale 'Ports of the World' butterfly box, which is installed on the P&O cruise ship, Britannia.
