About this course

Learn how to construct, shape, subvert, distort, mirror and repeat three-dimensional space using the laws of perspective, with technical perspective drawing techniques.

Course Description

This course will give you the basic tools to understand and render three-dimensional space in two dimensions. You will be introduced to different approaches to technical perspective drawing, exploring how to construct, shape, subvert, distort, mirror, and repeat three-dimensional space using the laws of perspective. You will then learn how to bend these laws as a means of rendering impossible worlds that seem at once familiar and fantastical.

You will come away from this course with a basic understanding of how to apply technical drawing approaches including one and two point perspective and isometric projection. These skills will enable you to render three-dimensional space with ease and help develop your observational drawing skills.
