Ceramic surfaces – exploring connections with drawing and printing with Joanna Veevers

Ref: SSS08063

Explore drawing and mark-making on a variety of papers and then develop these using coloured slips with clay. You will investigate low-tech printmaking techniques and experiment with making incised, engraved and painted marks and images into plaster that are then transferred to a ceramic body. This decorative technique developed by the tutor has strong associations with intaglio printmaking. You will produce a collection of exploratory drawings and prints, test pieces and tiles by the end of the week.
