About this course

Increase your range of watercolour techniques and confidence in using them. From light hearted sketching to more developed watercolour painting, and playful experimentation to accurate detail.

Course Description

The course will start with some of the basic watercolour techniques, but quickly become more experimental. Initially working as a group with an eye to help you move in your own direction, you will increase your understanding of the breadth of watercolour techniques and concentrate on the ones most appropriate to you.

Useful sketching methods will be covered to help you develop your ideas and compositions for more in depth painting, all the while practising and improving understanding of watercolour and its application.

You will use watercolour techniques to create the effects useful for the painting of landscape – but also to develop personal painting style.

Over the course you will become more confident at applying water and paint to improve your ongoing practice.
