Intermediate/Advanced
£381This weekend course is for classical guitarists who wish to experience the enjoyment of playing in an ensemble, develop your technique and learn from performing solo music in repertoire classes. This course includes many aspects that are popular at the annual International Classical Guitar Summer School in August. You will receive tuition from both of the classical guitar weekend tutors, and will be assigned to a specific ensemble group according to your grade level. There will also be an opportunity for everyone to perform individually in an informal concert.
The schedule will include warm-up/technique classes, repertoire classes (you will be allocated an individual time to perform and discuss your solo repertoire with the tutor and fellow students), ensemble rehearsals and general question and answer sessions. The course concludes on the Sunday afternoon with a performance of the ensemble works studied.
Andrew Gough will be given your contact details so that he can finalise plans for the weekend timetable a few weeks before the course.
