Feed the bees, birds and butterflies, and grow amazing bouquets for yourself and your friends and family to enjoy, after a great day learning about growing a cut flower patch.
Flower farmer Georgie Newbery will show you all the tips and tricks she has for growing a successful cut flower patch. She will advise you on which compost to use, soil management, feeding plants and soil: she will help you plan which seeds to sow, which perennials and shrubs work well in cut flowers, and she will send you home with a whole garden of seeds which you will have sown yourself ready to have a whole summer of flowers in your own garden.
This is a great fun day for which you need nothing more than enthusiasm and a willingness to give flower growing a go. You will be amazed afterwards by your successes, and flower growing will become part of your every gardening year.
Please note this course will take place in The Auditorium at the Edward James Studios, adjacent to West Dean Gardens car park.
