Summary

Outstanding learning and performing opportunities for classical guitarists of all ages (16 and above) through repertoire and technique classes, ensemble playing, guitar orchestra, student concerts, individual lessons and solo masterclasses. Working with internationally acclaimed artists you will study in an ensemble group according to your level (Grade 2 and above). Includes a guitar open day and an evening concert series with performances by William Kanengiser, Xuefei Yang, Vickers Bovey Guitar Duo and The Modern Guitar Trio. Bursaries are available for 16 to 24 year old students - please contact the Bookings Office for further details. Tutors

Andrew Gough

Andrew Gough (Guitar Festival Director) is head of guitar at the Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department and also teaches at The Blue Coat School and King Edward's School, Birmingham.

Alison Bendy

Alison is a highly experienced guitar tutor, music publisher (Holley Music) and ensemble guitarist with the Aragon Guitar Quartet and in a duo with Gerald Garcia.

Gerald Garcia

Gerald Garcia combines a career in performing and recording guitar music with composing and arranging for films and the stage. He is an experienced director of educational workshops and conducts numerous amateur guitar ensembles in Britain.

Jarl Stromdal

Jarl is a highly experienced tutor from Norway. Guitarist and lutenist who regularly performs in contemporary art collaborations. Soloist and member of the Arctic Guitar Trio.

Vincent Lindsey-Clark

English guitarist Vincent Lindsey-Clark is well known for his compositions for the instrument. He writes music for both students and professionals, much of which, has been used extensively by the major exam boards and performed all round the world.

William Kanengiser

William is an international concert artist. Member of the Grammy award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and faculty member of the University of Southern California.

Helen Sanderson

Helen is a tutor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Artistic Director of the World Youth Guitar Festival and NYGE, adjudicator and chamber musician.

Gary Ryan

Gary is a Professor of Guitar at the Royal College of Music, soloist, teacher, adjudicator, composer and arranger.
