About this course

Learn new techniques when working with wire, experimenting with the material to create three-dimensional, wall mounted, drawings. Using your own interests and inspiration, you will develop skills and make unique pieces.

Course Description

You will be guided through a series of drawing processes to create templates for your wirework. These methods will give you an understanding of line, composition and scale.

The tutor will demonstrate hand wire working techniques. You will learn about the tools and the different ways to manipulate the wire to translate your two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional sculpture. This will include how to mount the piece to a wall. The tutor will also provide one-to-one support throughout.

By the end of the course, you will have gained confidence in using wire and achieving your vision. You will have completed a wirework wall mounted sculpture, as well as experimental pieces and drawings.
