About this course

If you have a passion for colour and contemporary textiles, discover simple ways to experiment with dyes and pigments to make your own fabrics. Through screenprinting, monoprinting and painting directly on silk or cotton fabric, you will develop an individual visual style and create painterly fabric for wall pieces, interior textiles or unique clothing.


Carole Waller

Carole Waller is a well-known textile artist with an international reputation for her expressive approach to putting ideas, colour and imagery into cloth.Her own work is suffused with colour and depth - and her knowledge of working on 'unprimed' canvases, silks, cottons, wool and manmade fabrics has been acquired in the 25 years she has run her studio near Bath.
