Make colourful pattern bars – glass fusing with Katrina Beattie

Learn the exciting technique of making pattern bars, murrine that are fused and then sliced up to create geometric patterns. You will explore assembling these shapes in different ways for example stacking or using cabochons to make random or complex patterns which are then cut and re-fused to create larger pieces with repeat designs.


Katrina Beattie

Katrina Beattie graduated from University for Creative Arts in Farnham in 1995. She currently runs a studio in Somerset specializing in Blown, Lamp & Kiln Formed glass and has been teaching since 2002. Is a member of The Sussex Guild of Craftsmen, The Contemporary Glass Society and Glass Beadmakers UK.
