This course is suitable for all levels. The tutor is a clay animal artist and specialises in a form of modelling which is fast and easy to learn. She offers the option of imprinting the clay with texture for added interest; which is her speciality!
The principles of the technique will be introduced through a series of short demonstrations. You’ll then be guided through every step throughout.
You can expect to make each of the following pieces;
1) A wall-mounted animal portrait head
2) A reclined or seated animal
3) A four-legged, standing animal
At the end of the course all work will be dried, then biscuit fired, if you choose to leave it at the College. You have the option to book a further course on under-glazing to glaze your clay animal figures should you wish to. The next one is planned for 7 September 2022, early booking is advised.
